The Blogger Team strikes again.

I just received an email telling me that an older blog that I have has been taken down for spam.  This is the second time that this has happened to this particular blog.  This wouldn't really be a problem though I have links to several posts that are on that blog, so much of the links on other blogs of mine have been broken as a result.

Though I have had some conflict with an online group that may have caused this to happen, so if that is the case I will apologize to Google in advance for jumping to conclusions.

This seems to be happening because "The Blogger" team automates this process.  It is such a pain in the ass to have to get the decision reversed.  Your not able to contact any real person at Google, you just have to send and email, and wait for it to be answered.

Logically one would assume that Google (and The Blogger Team) is working to get this corrected, but that doesn't seem to be the case.  I know that Google needs to be proactive in protecting it's users and clients, yet it doesn't seem like they are achieving this with the current system.  I have heard many speaking out with similar problems -- so I don't feel so crazy being a momentary Google Hater.

If the Googlers on the Blogger Team want to continue to offer services such as Blogger, that allow people to upload their own content, then I think Google needs to allow the content to exist with no restrictions -- other than those that currently exist in the law.  There is little difference between this situation and the censorship that Google opposed in China.  Although this may lead to some abuse, it seems better than the precedent that is being set by their current policies.

I think this is the last straw for me, I am going to be exporting all my content from Blogger and set up my own server to host a single site.  This is going to take me a couple of weeks to go through all the info from the existing blog and to construct a new site.  As I begin this process I am going to be looking for a remote host for the media, so any suggestions would be appreciated.

In the mean time, I am going to export all blogs other than this one, in hopes that Google will respond to my email favorably.

Atheist is Deacon's cyber-doppelganger. Deacon and Atheist hold equally fervent, though diametrically opposed beliefs about religion, and both feel compelled to share those beliefs at every possible opportunity. Should an unsuspecting forum member make even a passing comment about faith or spirituality of any flavor, Atheist will descend like one of the Furies, mercilessly hectoring all of the ignorant and delusional believers about the sordid history of the church and the pernicious effects of religion on society. After a few of Atheist’s anti-religious jeremiads most other Warriors will avoid the subject altogether, though Evil Clown may egg him on a little, and Philosopher may amuse himself by pointing out flaws in his reasoning. If a forum has the misfortune of having both Deacon and Atheist as members, the bickering often continues until Nanny orAdmin pulls the plug. Bliss Ninny can also sometimes squelch the conversation by saying, “Well, everyone has a right to their [sic] opinion.”

The fate of Journalism.

The apparent death of the Journalism industry is troubling to many of us. It is not one of those things-of-old that we can just allow to fall by the way side. There is nothing that can take the place of the Newspaper, no exceptions. The Newspaper is the voice of the people -- Freedom of the Press is vital to the continued Freedom of the People.

Democracy Now has been  a great proponent of journalism.  What makes them special is their commitment to delivering news with the highest of Journalistic integrity.  In a time when a large section of the mainstream news is regurgitating the retoric of their parent corporation, proponents of True Journalism like Democracy NOW! have continued to report news based on Logic and Fact.  It is important that we support our local and national Newspapers, Magazines, and other organizations that provide us with vital information, such as Democracy NOW!, and The Real News Network
